Shopping

Visually impaired people like to go shopping. Whether its for the regular weekly food shop or a visit to the shopping mall to experience a wider variety of shops, pick up that special outfit for going to some special event or simply sitting and enjoying a coffee as the world passes by.

Shopping can be difficult for visually impaired people. Remember how frustrating you find it every time a shop changes its layout and the time you waste trying to find everything? Imagine how much more difficult this becomes when you cannot see clearly. And its not always possible to rely on shop assistants to help.

You could do such a lot by giving an hour a week to accompany a visually impaired person to the shops. You would be able to identify where things are, assist them choose what they need, be aware of the special offers in shops that week.

Shopping for most of us is a chore but for many older, isolated visually impaired people, this outing becomes something to look forward to, leaving their home behind for a little while. And you may be the only person they have seen that week, apart from the postman.

You too will find this a very enjoyable experience, sharing time, a coffee and a laugh. Getting this assistance means so much to many visually impaired people. So, this is our discounted offer of the day. Would you like to add it to your shopping basket.
