Mobile Resource UnitMobile Resource Unit (MRU) (Driver – Lou Jones)This is a fully equipped van which covers all the Highland Region. The Rehabilitation Officer covering a particular area is in attendance and appointments are made so that people can come to the MRU for their initial appointment (when possible), have a review, a general consultation, see some of the equipment available that can help people with a visual impairment and have an assessment for a Low Vision Aid. (see LVA page) The MRU can also visit people at their homes when it is impossible or impractical for the client to visit the MRU. Some of the equipment available for viewing on the MRU is:
